The International Scientific Committee for the WFS 2024 invites authors to submit papers for presentation at upcoming conference Wood & Fire Safety 2024. Conference Proceedings will be published in cooperation with Springer in Proceedings of the 10th International Conference on Wood & Fire Safety 2024.

Submission Instructions

1. If you are a new user, please register for a new account or login with an existing account in the top right-hand corner of the website.
2. After login, please Welcome to the conference service of WFS 2024.
3. Choose “Submit now” and then please fill in the system:

• Title
• Abstract - maximum 250 words
• List of authors
• Submit your abstract

Abstract submission is now closed!
Notification of abstract acceptance is December 1st, 2023. 

1. If you have submitted an abstract, then log in to find your submission “Paper ID”. Please DO NOT create a new submission system ID. Use your original and accepted paper submission ID.
2. Following the peer-review process, a decision will be communicated to the author(s) - Notification of abstract acceptance is December 1, 2023. Upon receiving a positive decision, authors can submit their full paper to the system. The maximum page size of full papers is 8 pages, including all paper components such as references, appendices, acknowledgements,…etc. Papers over 8 pages of length will not be included in the Conference Proceedings. 
3. Full papers should contain original research that has neither been published nor submitted for publication elsewhere. We would kindly refer the authors to Springer ethics website and stress the importance of this.
4. Using 3rd Party Materials:
   Please familiarize yourself with the Springer Nature Guide to Copyright and Permissions, which contains advice on including third-party content or material that you have created yourself and published elsewhere in your manuscript.
   
   Third-party content is defined as any material within the manuscript that is not your original work. Third party content may consist of text passages, figures, photos, poems, song lyrics, screenshots, etc. and be found in many places such as, but not limited to, the Internet, print and online books and articles, theses, annual reports, conference material, photocopies, course packages, and translations. In particular,you should pay close attention to sensitive images containing identifiable persons, logos, brands/trademarks, images from agencies, or from the Internet as well as text content such as song lyrics, poems,interviews, social media content and references to commercial entities.

Papers submission deadline is until January 15th, 2024.

Reviews and request for rebuttals sent to authors is until February 5th, 2024

Author rebuttals due is until February 19th, 2024

Notification of revised paper acceptation is until March 1st, 2024

Guidelines for final papers for Springer WFS 2024 Conference Proceeding

The accepted peer-reviewed full paper will be published in the WFS 2024 Springer Conference Proceeding under Springer publishing.

IMPORTANT: Your final paper (maximum full paper 8 pages) must be saved in MS Word (.DOCM, MAC.DOCM) and acrobat PDF file format (.PDF), with Paper File Name Format (primary  author lastname_firstname_PaperID.pdf) and submitted to the WFS 2024 Conference Submission System.

Consent to Publish (Copyright Transfer Agreement): Download, Print, Sign then scan the signed consent to publish form. Please submitt to the WFS 2024 Conference Submission System.  Consent to Publish File Name Format (Consent_primary author lastname_firstname_PaperID.pdf).

Note: One author may sign on behalf of all of the other authors of a particular paper.
