10th - International Scientific Conference

The International Scientific Conference Wood & Fire Safety 2024 is a traditional meeting of fire protection experts and specialists who prefer wood and wood-based materials. This is now the 10th conference being held at the usual place - the Patria Hotel, Štrbské Pleso in the High Tatras - and follows the established traditions of a four-year interval and an abundant programme. These traditions were established 30 years ago in 1988. Since the first conference more than 600 participants have taken part in the conference, of which 220 were international attendees. The regular participants of the conference include delegates from outside European Union countries, mainly from Canada, USA, New Zealand, Australia, China and Japan. There is also a large representation of other European states.

The aim of the conference is to bring new insights to this multi-disciplinary business field and increase the focus on forest fires, wood fires and new regulations, especially Eurocodes - Eurocode 5 - which deals with wooden construction and new wood in historic buildings. We believe that your participation will contribute to the quality of this ninth follow-up of the Wood & Fire Safety Conference (Wood and Fire Safety).
